There were some very good matches in the first leg of last week’s Champions League and Europa League qualifying ties and we’re hoping for even more with this week’s return legs. As ever, we are making the most of the high number of matches by putting together three accumulators to help and add some money to your betting balance.
Easy Winner – 21/20 (BetVictor)
- FC Copenhagen to beat Astra Giurgiu (2/5) – FC Copenhagen have enjoyed some good times in the Champions League in recent seasons and find themselves in a good position to move forwards to the playoff round. They should win this one at home with relative ease.
- Over 1.5 goals in PAOK v Ajax (1/3) – Ajax slipped up a little by allowing PAOK to score an away goal in the first leg. That means the Dutch side have to score in the second leg which should guarantee an exciting game of football.
- Celtic/Draw double chance v Astana (2/13) – Celtic did very well to secure a draw away against Astana and now have a very good chance to carry on with their qualification by simply avoid defeat in front of their home fans.
Medium Risk – 6/1 (Sky Bet)
- APOEL Nicosia to beat Rosenborg (2/1) – APOEL were beaten by Rosenborg in the first leg but they managed to score an away goal which could prove to be vital. They’ll fancy their chances of victory at home and of taking one more step towards the Champions League.
- Olympiakos to beat Hapoel Be’er Sheva (evens) – A nil-nil draw means that this tie is there for the taking for both teams. Olympiakos though are the favourites to progress given their extra pedigree at this level and we think they should be able to get the victory.
- Celtic to beat Astana (4/7) – Brendan Rodgers knows that his time in charge of Celtic will get off to a brilliant start if he can guarantee the club Champions League football. He’ll be looking for the backing of the Celtic Park faithful as they go in search of a place in the group stages.
Long Shot – 75/1 (Bet365)
- Dinamo Zagreb to beat Dinamo Tbilisi and both teams to score (10/3) – This could be a cracker. The tie is very well set up and both teams feel their chances of progression are strong. If Zagreb get through they’ll likely have to score more than once.
- Ajax to beat PAOK and both teams to score (9/2) – Ajax have to score but in their attempts to get that goal they could well leave space for their opponents to exploit. This should be an end to end thriller which Ajax will win if they are at their best.
- Young Boys to beat Shakhtar (11/5) – Young Boys did not enjoy their first leg against Shakhtar at all. They were beaten 2-0 which means they need a very big performance in the return leg. That’s something they’ve shown they’re capable of before and those odds on a Young Boys win look tempting.
