The European Championships got off to a strong start over the weekend, and we’ve already seen some fantastic goals. The group stage is well under way now, and the second round in each group gets under way on Wednesday. While that’s happening, the group stage of the Copa America is just wrapping up. With both those tournaments well under way, there’s more than enough action to keep us occupied.

Wednesday 15th June 2016
- Argentina v Bolivia (29/20 with Betfair) – The final group game for these two, and neither have anything to play for. Argentina are through, Bolivia out, and that should open this game up. The Bolivians can play without fear, while Argentina will be playing without their top stars.
- Russia v Slovakia (Evens with Betfair) – The Russians are without several top players at this tournament, so this should be an even game. Both are open at the back and capable of nicking a goal, so we fancy both sides to get on the scoresheet.
- Romania v Switzerland (21/20 with Coral) – Switzerland started their campaign well against Albania, while Romania were impressive against hosts France. Their strong display in that game has made us believe that they’ll push Switzerland here, so we’re backing BTTS.
- France v Albania (17/10 with Betfair) – In the opening match of Euro 2016 the French contributed to Romania’s performance looking fairly decent, as the hosts were all over the place at the back. This Albania side aren’t afraid to push forward, as they showed when they took on Switzerland. They will get chances against this French defence, and we’re backing them to score. Given the odds of BTTS, backing joy for Albania looks smart.
Thursday 16th June 2016
- England v Wales (21/20 with Coral) – These two teams both conceded sloppy goals at the weekend, and we can’t see their defences being improved here. There’s enough attacking talent in both teams to get a goal, and they should thrive in what should be an open game.
- Ukraine v Northern Ireland (11/8 with Sky Bet) – Northern Ireland may not have impressed against Poland, but with Kyle Lafferty hoping to be back to his best here we fancy they’ll get on the scoresheet. Ukraine are heavy favourites, but we can see the spirit of this NI team spurring them on to at least get a goal.
- Germany v Poland (21/20 with Coral) – The Germans were really poor at the back against Ukraine, and that’s not what you want ahead of a meeting with Robert Lewandowski. Poland have a pretty strong forward line, and we’re backing them to hurt this uncharacteristically vulnerable German side.
