This weekend sees the start of the Euro 2016 quarter finals, with just one Home Nation left standing. Can Wales find a way into the semis in France? They’ve mixing it with the top sides now, with the tournament almost at a close. There are just seven matches left in this tournament before a winner is crowned. As of right now, this tournament still seems wide open. That should make for an interesting week of action.
While domestic football is on hold in Europe, it’s still going strong in the USA. The MLS is usually a great league for both teams to score bets, and we think we’ve picked out a few strong matches that should include a few goals. Thursday 30th June 2016
- Poland v Portugal (5/4 with Sky Bet) – Given the attacking talent on show, we’re backing goals. Portugal have a poor defence, and we see them having to go for this game at some stage. Having scored five and conceded four so far, they should be involved in a few more goals here.
Friday 1st July 2016
- Wales v Belgium (13/10 with Betfair) – The Belgians look great going forward, but they’re poor at the back. Italy showed how they’re beatable on the counter, and we’re expecting Gareth Bale to revel playing against a defence like that. The Real Madrid man has inspired his side to seven goals in four games, so we see Wales getting on the scoresheet again.

- Chicago Fire v San Jose Earthquakes (8/11 with Sky Bet) – These two sides have both scored in each of the last four meetings between them. They are both pretty poor at the back and envisage this one going the same way as their recent encounters.
- Germany v Italy (5/4 with Betfair) – Both of these sides have shown some strong counter attacking play so far. They have more than enough talent to hurt each other at the back, and their set up means this game could open up like that fantastic match in 2006.
Sunday 3rd July 2016
- Toronto FC v Seattle Sounders (10/11 with Coral) – The last four meetings between these two have seen both of them score. Given their struggles this term, we can see attackers coming out on top here.
- New York City v New York Red Bulls (6/10 with Coral) – These two are flying high in MLS, and they’ve scored 55 goals between them this season. We’re backing them to add to that tally here.
- France v Iceland (11/8 with Sky Bet) – After their result against England, who would bet against Iceland? This French defence is beatable, and we’re backing the team of the tournament to get themselves a goal, though not to keep a clean sheet.
