How quickly it feels normal to have the Premier League back. There is always a lot of build up before the season begins but we are straight back into the thick of the action and that means a huge number of betting options each week. We’ve combed through the markets available and have brought you three accas below to help add some excitement to your weekend. And perhaps some profit too!
Easy Winner – 11/10 (Sky Bet)
- Manchester City to beat West Ham (30/100) – West Ham have not played well away from home in either the league or in European competition this season while Man City are looking to kick on at the top of the Premier League. This should be a fairly routine home win.
- Chelsea to beat Burnley (2/7) – Burnley achieved a remarkable win against the odds when Liverpool visited Turf Moor last weekend but they are right up against it as they look to follow up with a very tough game against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Again, this looks a nailed on home win.
- Over 1.5 goals in Tottenham v Liverpool (1/4) – White Hart Lane could well be the scene of the best game of the weekend. Nobody knows which Liverpool team will show up but whether they play well or poorly, there should be multiple goals in the early game.
Medium Risk – 3/1 (BetVictor)
- Everton to beat Stoke (8/11) – Everton are laying the foundations for what they hope will be a strong future under Ronald Koeman. They scrapped to a very good win away to West Brom last week and should have enough to follow that up with victory against Stoke at Goodison Park.
- Under 2.5 goals in West Brom and Middlesbrough (1/2) – Both West Brom and Middlesbrough will be looking to build their success this season on the back of a strong defence. That may not be great news for neutrals in a game that could well be last on Match of the Day.
- Southampton to beat Sunderland (8/13) – If Southampton cannot win at home against Sunderland then their chances of improving on last season’s sixth place finish look very slim. Sunderland look destined for yet another relegation scrap.
Long Shot – 70/1 (Bet365)
- Watford to beat Arsenal (4/1) – Watford will still feel aggrieved about their loss to Chelsea. Thankfully for the Hornets they have a chance to bounce straight back by recording a big win against Arsenal at Vicarage Road.
- Christian Benteke to score first against Bournemouth (5/1) – Crystal Palace are going to rely heavily on Christian Benteke this season. They have a real issue scoring enough goals which is why they spent over £30 million on the Belgian striker. He could mark his league debut by scoring the game’s first goal.
- Tottenham to beat Liverpool (11/8) – This is a game which could go either way but Spurs are the favourites for a reason. They are a very tough prospect at home and are aiming for another title challenge. Against an inconsistent Liverpool side, 11/8 looks a big price on a home win for Tottenham.
