We were treated to a number of exciting cup ties in midweek but the top flight sides all return to more pressing matters this weekend. It seems that every round of fixtures in the Premier League this season brings with it a selection of mouth-watering ties and that is no different on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. With so much action to enjoy, we’ve put together three different accas to tickle you fancy no matter whether you want an easy winner, a long odds shot or something in between.
Easy Winner – 6/5 (Sky Bet)
- Liverpool to beat Hull (2/9) – Whisper it quietly, but Liverpool are starting to look like genuine title contenders. Jurgen Klopp’s team have an entertaining and effective style of play and should overwhelm Hull at Anfield.
- Manchester City to beat Swansea (2/5) – Swansea will be sick of the site of Man City come Saturday evening. After being knocked out of the EFL Cup by Pep Guardiola’s team, the Swans look set for another defeat at the Liberty Stadium.
- Over 1.5 goals in West Ham v Southampton (2/7) – West Ham just about managed to keep a clean sheet against Accrington Stanley but will have a much tougher job doing the same against Southampton on Sunday. This could end up any score.
Medium Risk – 11/2 (BetVictor)
- Leicester/draw double chance against Manchester United (5/4) – Manchester United managed to squeak through against League One Northampton which will not have done much for confidence ahead of the visit of the champions. Leicester are still playing fairly well and can escape Old Trafford with a positive result.
- Chelsea/draw double chance against Arsenal (4/7) – Arsenal have a shocking record in the London derby against Chelsea. The Gunners have been playing OK of late but Chelsea know just how to wind up the Emirates crowd and should avoid defeat in Saturday’s late game.
- Over 2.5 goals in Bournemouth v Everton (20/23) – Everton had something of a wake-up call when Norwich beat them in the League Cup on Tuesday. Still, the Toffees have had a brilliant start to the season and can bounce straight back against Bournemouth. The Cherries will have a say in the outcome though, so back goals at Dean Court.
Long Shot – 22/1 (Bet365)
- Diego Costa to score against Arsenal (7/5) – Diego Costa is Chelsea’s antagonist in chief and will love the chance to wind up the crowd at the Emirates. He’s added goals to his competitive spirit this season and can strike again against Arsenal.
- Michail Antonio to score against Southampton (12/5) – Southampton played a role in Michail Antonio’s rise from non-league football to the England squad but he will show no gratitude on the pitch at the London Stadium. Antonio is West Ham’s top goalscorer and can add another on Sunday afternoon.
- Troy Deeney to score against Burnley (15/8) – Having dropped a bit of weight and instantly come round to his new manager’s style of working, Troy Deeney is playing well enough to warrant the attention of Sam Allardyce. When the Watford captain plays well, his team play well and as they’re expected to beat Burnley, Deeney should be among the goals.
