After last week saw the first domestic trophy of the season handed out, attention now turns back to the Premier League and there could well be some cracking matches with plenty still to be decided at the bottom of the league as well as in the race for European qualification.
Saturday 4th March 2017
- Manchester United v Bournemouth (6/5 with Betfred) – Manchester United were victorious in the League Cup last weekend and we’d back them to get the win over Bournemouth. Only Swansea conceded more goals than the Cherries in the top flight but fortunately for the south coast side they have scored a few as well and BTTS looks a good bet at 6/5 in this one.
- Swansea City v Burnley (10/11 with Ladbrokes) – Swansea City have given themselves a good chance of avoiding the bottom three this season with a decent run of form since Paul Clement took charge. They have however conceded at a rate of more than two goals per game and this one looks a match in which both keepers will be kept busy.
- Leicester City v Hull City (19/20 with Betfair) – Another game where we fancy there to be plenty of goalmouth action is at the King Power where Leicester entertain Hull. The Tigers have seen a number of their recent matches end without a clean sheet and we think that this one will be another.
- Liverpool v Arsenal (7/10 with Betfair) – This game has got goals written all over it and matches between Liverpool and Arsenal often catch the eye. The pair set the tone for the season when they split seven goals between them during Liverpool’s victory at the Emirates. Don’t be surprised to see a similar number of goals scored at the weekend.
Sunday 5th March 2017
- Tottenham Hotspur v Everton (4/5 with Bet365) – Tottenham Hotspur have been brilliant at White Hart Lane this season and with the best defensive record in the league, it is little surprise to see them well up there towards the top of the league. However, whilst Spurs will almost certainly score having smashed in four past Stoke last weekend, we fancy the Toffees for a goal or two in this one.
- Sunderland v Manchester City (5/6 with Coral) – Sunderland are bottom of the league for a reason, but with Jermain Defoe in their side, they always have a chance of snatching a goal. They won’t stop City from scoring but we think that they have enough about them to hit the back of the net.
Monday 6th March 2017
- West Ham v Chelsea (10/11 with Betfred) – Sky Sports Monday Night Football bonanza features Chelsea’s trip to West Ham and it should be a decent game. The Hammers haven’t had a great season, but they have picked up since January and they have enough about them to trouble the league leaders. Expect both keepers to be busy in this one.
