This weekend sees plenty of football take place and you will be spoilt for choice with the FA Cup quarter finals taking place as well as some key clashes in the Premier League relegation battle and the fight for promotion from the Championship.
Luckily for you, we’ve run our eyes over the fixture lists and come up with seven top both teams to score tips for you, because where there are giant killings there are always goals.
Saturday 11th March 2017
- Middlesbrough v Manchester City (evens with Betfair) – Boro haven’t exactly been on fire in front of goal this season, but they may well be able to take advantage this weekend. City will have one eye on the Champions League and although they will almost certainly score, they may well concede too.
- Bournemouth v West Ham (8/13 with Bet365) – Bournemouth have been involved in plenty of games in which both sides have hit the back of the net and they have one of the worst defensive records in the top flight. They host West Ham on Saturday and this one could be a real cracker in what we’re coining the ‘Harry Redknapp derby’.
- Newcastle United v Fulham (8/11 with Betfred) – Down to the Championship now where an in-form Fulham side travel to Newcastle. The Geordies look back to their best after a slight wobble, but we can’t see them keeping a clean sheet when they welcome the Cottagers. At the time of writing Fulham have seen 99 goals scored in their matches so far this term and we very much like the look of BTTS in this one.
- Swansea City v Hull City (10/11 with Betfred) – South Wales doesn’t exactly scream ‘great day out’ but the hardy Hull fans who make the trip could well be rewarded with some good football. Marco Silva’s side have shown some signs of life as they travel to the Liberty Stadium.
- Arsenal v Lincoln City (11/8 with Bet365) – Arsenal may well have beaten Sutton in the previous round, but the National League side had their chances and there is no doubting that Lincoln are a level above Sutton. The Gunners will surely win, but we wouldn’t bet against the Imps bagging themselves a consolation goal.
Sunday 12th March 2017
- Tottenham Hotspur v Millwall (11/8 with Betfair) – Millwall have already knocked out three Premier League sides and they won’t be too phased by the prospect of facing Spurs. The home side only just squeaked past Wycombe in the fourth round and this could be a cracking game.
Monday 13th March 2017
- Chelsea v Manchester United (evens with Betfair) – This all-Premier League tie rounds off the quarter finals and it should be a good game with both sides likely to play full strength teams. Jose Mourinho loves a cup victory but his side will be hard pressed to stop Chelsea in their quest for the double.
